Method one to unintall SpywareBlaster
Step 1: Shut down SpywareBlaster
- Open SpywareBlaster and select “Disable All Protection”
- Close SpywareBlaster
- Close the AutoUpdate program, if open. To check, use CTRL-ATL-DELETE:
- Hold down the CTRL and ALT keys and at the same time hit the DELETE key once to open the Windows Task Manager
- Click on the “Processes” tab in the Windows Task Manager (you can sort the list alphabetically by clicking on the “Image Name” header)
- Look for a program called sbautoupdate.exe
- If you find sbautoupdate.exe, click on it and then on “End Process“
- If you also see a program called spywareblaster.exe, use “End Process” on it too
Step 2: Uninstall SpywareBlaster
- Open the Control Panel (click on START in the lower left corner of your screen, then on CONTROL PANEL)
- Open ADD /REMOVE PROGRAMS
- Search for the SpywareBlaster entry and select REMOVE – this should uninstall it
- Reboot.
Note: If you can close down SpywareBlaster but the uninstaller is unable to do its job (perhaps due to previous incomplete uninstalls), you may need to download and install SpywareBlaster over-the-top of your old installation. This will give you a good copy of the uninstaller, and you should then be able to follow the steps above and uninstall completely.
Method two to Uninstall SpywareBlaster
Step 1: Turn off Protection and Purge Selected Items
- Open SpywareBlaster. Click Start, then All Programs, then SpywareBlaster.
- Under Quick Task, click the Disable All Protection link.
- Exit SpywareBlaster by clicking the X (Close) button in the upper right corner.
Step 2: Delete Scheduled Tasks
NOTE: If SpywareBlaster was set to check your computer on a weekly or monthly basis, you will delete these tasks.
NOTE: Please close any open programs at this time.
- Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
- Open the Scheduled Tasks control panel. If you don’t see it, click the Switch to Classic View link on the left. Then open the Scheduled Tasks control panel.
- Right Click on SpywareBlaster and choose Delete. Click Yes.
- Close the Scheduled Tasks control panel.
Step 3: Remove with Add/Remove Control Panel
- If needed, click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel.
- Open the Add or Remove Programs control panel. Wait for the list of installed software to appear.
- Scroll down in the list of programs and select SpywareBlaster vX.X (where X.X is the version number of the currently installed program).
- Click Remove. In the warning message that asks “Are you sure you want to completely remove SpywareBlaster … “, click Yes.
Step 4: Delete Program Files folder and Configuration folder
NOTE: To complete the removal of these programs, you need to delete SpywareBlaster folder.
- After the computer has restarted, open My Computer. Open the Local Disk (C:). Open the Program Files folder. NOTE: If you see a blue screen that states “These files are hidden.”, click the Show the contents of this folder link. You will then see the folders in the Program Files folder.
- From the View menu choose Details (if not already selected).
- Right Click on the SpywareBlaster folder and choose Delete. Click Yes.

Step 1: Unplug the MagicJack USB Dongle. Go to “Start” in Windows and click on “run” and type (enter) regedit and press Enter.
Step 2:Now Click on + Sign next to HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE.
Step 3: Click on + Sign next to SYSTEM.
Step 4: Click on + Sign next to CurrentControlSet.

Step 12: Right Click on the folder named USBSTOR and Allow permissions.
Step 13: Next Click on + Sign next to USBSTOR.
Step 14: Locate the folders named “CdRom&Ven_YMAX&Prod_MagicJack&Rev” and “Disk&Ven_YMAX&Prod_MagicJack&Rev”
Step 15: Right Click on these Folders one at a time and hit Delete.
Method 2
Step 1: Double Click on your Hard Drive (usually called C:\).
Step 2: Double Click on Documents and Settings.
Step 3: Double Click on the Folder that has the Username you use when logging into Windows.
Step 4: Double Click on Application Data.
Step 5: Double Click on Folder labeled “mjusbsp”.
Step 6: Double Click on Folder labeled “in00000″.
Step 7: Find the Setup File there and Delete.
Method 3
Step 1: Use Device Manager to Uninstall the MagicJack cdrom/disk drive/usb hub.
Step 2: Unplug the MagicJack device.
Step 3: Delete the mjusbsp Directory and all Subdirectories (probably at c:\documents and settings\(your user profile name)\application data\mjusbsp).
Step 4: Use regedit to locate the HKEY Current User Talk4Free entries and Delete the Talk4Free Key and all Subkeys.
Step 5: Delete the MagicJack Directory and all Subdirectores (probably at c:\documents and settings\(your user profile name)\local settings\application data\magicjack).
Step 6: Delete any start menu and desktop Icons.
Step 7: Reboot.
