How to unistall Sun Java from Microsoft Windows
Step1: Click Start
Step2: Select Settings
Step3: Select Control Panel
Step4: Double click the Add/Remove Programs control panel icon
Step5: The Add/Remove control panel displays a list of software on your system, including any Java software products that are on your computer. Select any that you want to uninstall by clicking on it, and then click the Remove button.

Note:
If the normal uninstallation process (as mentioned above) fails, then please try Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. This tool will ensure that all irrelevant Java Runtime Environment Microsoft Installer (msi) registries are removed. Removal instructions:
Step1: Download the Microsoft Installer Clean Up utility file and save it on your desktop
Step2: Double click on executable file. The installation process will start. Follow the instructions accordingly
Step3: Once installation process is over, go to Start -> All Programs -> Run Windows Install Clean Up utility
Step4: This will launch the Windows Installer Clean Up utility dialog box
Step5: Under the Installed products list, select the desired Java version that you want to remove
Step: Click Remove and Exit
How to Uninstall Microsoft Java
- Click the Start button
- Click the Run button
- Enter RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection java.inf,UnInstall and press the <RETURN>
- Click Yes
- Let the process reboot your machine
- Click the Start button
- Click the Run button
- Enter cmd and press <RETURN> to open a command shell
- Enter the command rd /s %System_Root%\java
- Enter the command del %System_Root%\inf\java.pnf
- Enter the command del %System_Root%\SYSTEM32\jview.exe
- Enter the command del %System_Root%\SYSTEM32\wjview.exe
- Click the Start button
- Click the Run button
- Enter regedit and press <RETURN>
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Java VM
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Java VM
- Highlight Java VM
- Press the <DELETE> key
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions
- Scroll down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_VM
- Click + to open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\AdvancedOptions\JAVA_VM
- Highlight Java VM
- Press the <DELETE> key
