Getting stubborn adware and spyware off your PC can be frustrating. However, there are steps you can take to make the process easier and more effective. If your system is heavily infested, you’ll need access to a clean computer to download the necessary tools.

To unintall Adware and Spyware easily, quickly and completely, you can use Perfect Unintaller. Click here to  get a free scan.

Step 1: Disconnect from the Internet
Close all open browser windows and applications (including email) and then disconnect your PC from the Internet. If you can access the back of the computer, the easiest thing to do is just remove the phone line or cable connecting the PC to the modem or router. If the back of the computer isn’t easily accessible, you can remove the ethernet cable or phone line from router or modem.

Step 2: Try a Traditional Uninstall
A suprising number of applications labeled as adware and spyware have fully functioning uninstallers that will cleanly remove the program. Before moving on to more complex steps, start with the easiest route and check the Add/Remove Programs list in the Windows Control Panel. If the unwanted program is listed, simply highlight it and click the Remove button. In Windows Vista, the Add/Remove Programs feature is listed in Control Panel as Programs and Features. After removing the adware or spyware via Control Panel’s Add/Remove Programs, reboot the computer. Make sure you reboot after the uninstall, even if you aren’t prompted to do so.

Step 3: Scan Your Computer
After you’ve disconnected from the Internet, removed any adware or spyware listed in Add/Remove Programs, and rebooted the computer, the next step is to run a full system scan using an up-to-date antivirus scanner. If your scanner will allow it, can the system in Safe Mode. If you don’t have antivirus installed, select from top-rated antivirus scanners or Perfect Unintaller.

Step 4: Using SmitFraudFix
Much of today’s spyware is delivered via the Zlob family of Trojan downloaders. The free SmitFraudFix tool does a good job of removing many variants of Zlob-related adware and spyware.

Step 5: Get Clear Access to the Problem
While scanning the system in Safe Mode is good practice, it may not be enough to thwart some malware. If the adware or spyware persists despite the above efforts, you’ll need to get access to the drive without allowing the adware or spyware to load.

Step 6: Undo the Residual Damage
After removing the active infestation, you’ll need to make sure the adware or spyware won’t simply reintegrate itself when the computer is reconnecting to the Internet.

  • Before reconnecting, reset your browser start and home pages.
  • Ensure your HOSTS file hasn’t been hijacked.
  • Make sure undesirable websites haven’t been added to your Trusted Sites Zone.

Step 7: Preventing Adware and Spyware

To avoid future adware and spyware infections, be discriminating about what programs you install on your PC. If you see an offer for a program that seems to good to be true, research it first using your favorite search engine.

As one of the most popular instant messaging client, Yahoo Messenger enables you to interact with your friends and acquaintances in real time. You want to uninstall it for some reasons, however. This artcle shows you how to uninstall Yahoo Messenger from your PC/Mac completely.  To unintall programs easily, quickly and completely, you can use Perfect Unintaller. Click here to  get a free scan.

Step 1: Log out of Yahoo Messenger and exit the application.

Step 2: Go to Start menu and select Control Panel.

Step 3: Double-click on the Add/Remove Programs.

Step 4: Browse through the list in the Add/Remove Programs window and select the Yahoo! Messenger option.

Step 5: Select the Change/Remove button.

Step 6: On the Yahoo! Messenger dialog box, select the Finish button to complete the installation process.

Step 7: Restart your computer, if the uninstallation process doesn’t restart it automatically.

Step 8: Navigate to Yahoo folder in Program Files (C:\Program Files\Yahoo) and delete it.
Note: Remember that in doing so, you may lose all of your saved archives.

Step 9: Open the Registry Editor by running the regedit.exe file and navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ registry entry, delete Yahoo, and exit the Registry Editor window.

Warning! Make no mistake about it; there ARE risks involved with manually editing the Windows registry. However, if you don’t remove registry entries associated with Yahoo Messenger, these may cause problems later such as the following.

  • You won’t be able to install a new version of Yahoo Messenger (or revert to an old one).
  • If you’re able to install another version after uninstalling Yahoo Messenger, some features may not be available to you.
  • When you use certain features of Yahoo Messenger, it causes the IM client to hang.

Note too that not all problems resulting from not removing Yahoo Messenger components scattered through your system present themselves via Yahoo Messenger. For instance, the messenger may be working just fine but your PC is starting to slow down, thanks in part to all those obsolete and orphan registry keys left behind by your previous Yahoo Messenger un-installation.

You can solve these matters by using Perfect Unintaller , it can unintaller Yahoo Messenger completely by a few clicks.
