After installing AVG Free Antivirus, for some reasons you may need to uninstal it and reinstall it or just install another antivirus. Perfect Uninstaller provides three solutions to help you easily uninstall AVG Free Antivirus.

Solution 1: Normal Uninstall

The first thing you want to try is to use the normal uninstall function to remove AVG from your computer. This is the safest solution to uninstall it. Follow the directions below to accomplish this.

Step 1: Right click on the AVG icon in your tray and click on exit.


Step 2: Run Perfect Uninstaller. Click here if you don’t have one.
Step 3: Find AVG in the application list and double-click on it.


Step 4: Click Next In the new pop-up window and follow the uninstall wizard instructions to proceed the removal.
Step 5: Once the uninstall has completed, reboot your computer.

Solution 2: Force Uninstall

If the normal uninstall fails and you know exactly where the AVG was installed, you can try Force Uninstall function to make a clean remove of AVG.

Step 1: Shut AVG antivirus down before uninstalling is also required.
Step 2: Run Perfect Uninstaller and click on Force Uninstall as below.


Step 3: Find the exact AVG file or/and its installation directory to make a force uninstall. For example, click the button next to the “Scanning program path” box and locate the installed folder as below.


Step 4: Click Next and follow instructions to proceed the removal.
Step 5: Once the uninstall has completed, reboot your computer.

Solution 3: Special Uninstall

Three versions of AVG have been added into Perfect Uninstaller’s Special Uninstall list and can be easily uninstalled with no traces left. The AVG listed are AVG Anti-Virus V7.1, AVG Anti-Virus V7.5, and AVG Anti-Virus V8.0. But we recommend you try normal uninstall first for a safer removal.
 
Step 1: Close the running AVG Antivirus is required.
Step 2: Run Perfect Uninstaller and click Special Uninstall like this.


Step 3: Locate AVG in the application list and click on it. You should ensure of the version you have installed in order to uninstall the right AVG free because there are three versions of AVG in the list.


Step 4: Click Next In the new pop-up window and follow the uninstall wizard instructions to proceed the removal.
Step 5: Once the uninstall has completed, reboot your computer.

Approach One: Uninstall with Windows Add/Revmove ( Uninstall ) program

Step 1: Exit Firefox. From the menu at the top of the Firefox window, select File and then select the Exit menu item.  Or close it directly.

Step 2: From the Start Menu in the Windows taskbar, select Control Panel. The Control Panel opens.

Step 3: Open the Windows program listing.
1. (Windows Vista) Click Uninstall a program.
2. (Windows 2000/XP) Double-click Add/Remove Programs.

Step 4: From the list of currently installed programs, select Mozilla Firefox

Step 5: To begin the uninstall:
1. (Windows Vista) Click Uninstall.
2. (Windows 2000/XP) Click Remove.

Step 6: In the Mozilla Firefox Uninstall Wizard that opens, click Next.

Stpe 7: Click Uninstall.
1. If Firefox is still open, you must close Firefox to proceed with the uninstall.
2. (Firefox 3) If you want to remove your Firefox user data and settings, put a check mark in the box that says Remove my Firefox personal data. If you select this option, Firefox will not preserve your bookmarks, saved passwords, and other data if it is installed again.
3. To provide feedback on your Firefox experience to the development team, select Tell us what you thought of Firefox.

Step 8: Click Finish.

Step 9: To remove added plugins or other files and folders that may not be removed by the uninstall you must manually delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located here by default: C:\Program files\Mozilla Firefox

Approach Two: Uninstall with Perfect Uninstaller.

With Perfect Uninstaller, you only need a few clicks to uninstall Firefox completely including its installation folder. 

Step 1: Run Perfect Uninstaller. If you don’t have one, click here.

Step 2: Double-click Firefox to delete.
